Brickanta AI was founded by Lucas Otterling, previously of Mavenoid, and Linus Bein Fahlander, previously of Depict AI, with a clear mission: help builders avoid the costly mistakes that plague construction projects. The platform analyzes historical project documentation — quantity schedules, contracts, technical specifications — to catch issues before they become expensive change orders, such as materials procured against specs that were never finalized. It's a meaningful problem to solve: Boverket estimates construction errors cost Sweden 111 billion SEK every year. The traction has been fast: founded in July, generating revenue within a month, and accepted into the prestigious accelerator Y Combinator that same summer to tap into cutting-edge AI models.
