The Brickanta Brief – September 2026

Hi there,

September (and this first week of October) has been eventful in all ways imaginable.

This Wednesday, we brought 60+ leaders from across construction to House of Innovation for the very first Brickanta Summit. Lucas opened the evening by unveiling the new version of Brickanta. Paulina Modlitba then led a panel with Agnes Sjöberg (Google), Rikard Hansson (H2), Charlotte von Essen (SSE) and Lucas on what the future of construction looks like and what part AI should play in it. We closed with announcing the winners of the first Brickanta Award, Spentab. (Huge congratulations on deploying the most AI agents per user!)

It was an evening to remember for us and we already look forward to next time. Thank you to everyone who attended, the panel that contributed and our angel investors Cody Gakpo and Mario Götze that played their part of the evening!

WOW!

September also brought some recognition. At Framtidsdagen on 23 September, Brickanta was voted the first-ever winner of the WOW Award. The prize, a gilded brick, now sits on a shelf in our office. Byggframtid followed up with a deep-dive on how we got here, from Y Combinator to the construction industry, and on growing fast without losing ourselves.

Lots of new faces

Part of that growth comes from who chooses to join us. Johan Högenberg, from Mavenoid, now leads customer success and implementations. Jerker Hägglund, who did this once before at Spacemaker and Autodesk, leads enterprise sales and partnerships. Max Rosvall Välme brings a PhD in sustainable housing and two AI tools for construction that he built and sold on his own. Trade press covered all three hires. We read it as a sign of where the industry is heading: experienced people from construction and tech are betting on this shift.
